Reputational Risk

We have an unwavering commitment to operating at high standards. Any lapse in standards of integrity, compliance, customer service or operating efficiency represents a potential reputational risk.

Reputational risk is the risk of failure to meet stakeholder expectations as a result of any event, behaviour, action or inaction, either by Reynolds Portfolio itself, our employees or those with whom we are associated, that may cause stakeholders to form a negative view of our business.

Our policies set out procedures for identifying, assessing and escalating reputational risks. They ensure reputational risk matters are managed consistently and align with the company’s strategic priorities. They also define the control and oversight standards to effectively manage reputational risk and are supported by procedures across our property services.

Money Laundering and Financial Crime Risk

Reynolds Portfolio’s purpose is to help people discover opportunities and support them achieve their dreams. But today’s Lilongwe property market creates new challenges ranging from money laundering, identity theft to fraud which altogether put stakeholders of the property market at risk. We are committed to helping protect the property market and its transaction systems on which our customers depend and we are compliant to the requirements of Financial Intelligence Authority for combating financial crimes.

We have a fundamental responsibility to help protect the integrity of the property market. Reynolds Portfolio’s scale and local footprint put us in a unique position where we can make a positive contribution and be at the forefront of the fight against financial crimes. We will continue to adapt our approach to stay one step ahead.

Reynolds Portfolio is committed to only doing business with customers who meet our strict standards. We have ended relationships with clients where we felt that the financial crime risks were too great to manage effectively.
